Salutem Care and Education has promoted Sally Jobling to the role of divisional director for supported living as part of an ongoing reconfiguration of our management structure.
Sally has built a career in social care and housing over more than two decades, having started as a support worker at Mencap after graduation.
She joined Salutem at the start of the pandemic as Group Head of Supported Living, focusing primarily on growth strategy and the policy and procedural elements of the service.
Supported Living bridges the gap between residential care and full independent living, enabling individuals in receipt of social care funding to have their own home whilst having support from caring professionals.
Her promotion will see her oversee all aspects of the division, including managing the operations and growth projects across Salutem’s supported living services.
Sally is one of four new divisional directors in charge of Salutem’s four key areas of delivery – adult, children, supported living, and education.
Sally Jobling said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as Salutem’s divisional director for supported living because, out of all the areas in housing and social care I have experienced, supported living is the one I am most passionate about.
“Anyone can live in supported living with the right package of support and an environment that meets their on-going needs. It can make such an incredible difference to someone’s quality of life to have their own front door and full choice and control. For them to have a home they can call their own.
“Salutem is a fantastic place to work and genuinely wants what’s best for the individuals we support. It has integrity and transparency, and I look forward to being part of its next phase of growth.”
John Godden MBE, CEO of Salutem Care and Education, said: “Sally has already proven herself to be an integral part of the Salutem family, and is exactly the right person to lead our supported living division. I’m excited to see what she and the team will achieve next.”
