How it works

The recruitment process is a systematic approach to identifying, attracting, and selecting qualified candidates to fill job vacancies within our organisation. Here is a guide to the key steps involved in the recruitment process:

Application Submission

Candidates apply for advertised roles through various platforms, including Indeed, the Salutem website, and other designated careers websites.

Clicking the “Apply Now” button redirects candidates to the Salutem website. They are then prompted to upload their CV and any relevant supporting documents (e.g., cover letter, certificates). Additionally, candidates are required to review and accept our privacy policy. They can choose to proceed with the application or save and return for later completion.

Diversity

Upon continuing with the application, candidates are directed to a diversity monitoring page. Once completed, they can submit their application.

Application Acknowledgement

Within ten minutes of submission, candidates receive an acknowledgment email confirming receipt of their application. Please check spam and junk folders. If a candidate decides not to proceed, they can notify us at recruitment@salutemsharedservices.co.uk, and we will remove their details from our system.

Interview Invitation (Successful Candidates)

Successful applicants receive an email inviting them to choose from available interview slots. Additionally, the Hiring Manager may make a courtesy call to provide information about the interview day, including details such as parking arrangements and the interviewer’s name. An email confirmation is sent, providing the interview address, and outlining the importance to bring along relevant ID documentation for verification.

Post-Interview Notification

After the interview, the interviewer informs the candidate that they will be contacted, either via email or phone, to inform them on the outcome of the interview.

Successful Interview

If successful, candidates receive a congratulations communication from their prospective line Manager, who will discuss next steps in the recruitment process, including details about hours and pay.

Onboarding Process

Candidates are contacted by a member of the recruitment team within 24 hours. They are provided with a designated-on boarder for ongoing support and guidance. The onboarding process includes verifying offer details, ensuring accurate personal information, and sending a link for a DBS check. Once the DBS check is completed, candidates receive an email invitation to finalise onboarding documentation and receive their contract.

After successful completion of your onboarding, including satisfactory references and a clear DBS check, a start date is arranged, allowing candidates to commence their journey with Salutem.
