We have promoted a dedicated social care professional, with more than two decades’ experience, to director of our adult care division.

Ann Holt, 45, who was previously a regional director with Salutem, and who has been with the company since 2018, is now responsible for all of our adult care residential and day services.

Her promotion follows Salutem reconfiguring our business framework into four categories – adult, children, supported living, and education.

Ann, who lives in Devon, has been a qualified social care practitioner for more than 20 years, having first specialised as a paediatric nurse.

She always has been determined to amass as much expertise and knowledge as possible.

Even while doing her nurse training, she took the opportunity to further expand her experience by working as a bank care assistant in care homes and hospitals in her spare time.

Before joining Salutem, she was an area manager with the disability charity Scope.

In her new role, Ann will be responsible for overseeing the safe and effective operation of Salutem’s adult services division.

In charge of a team of five regional directors, Ann will ensure that people, both staff and the individuals we support, are properly supported to achieve their goals and aspirations.

John Godden, CEO at Salutem, said: “Ann is a dedicated social care professional, who is passionate about providing the highest standards of service and care.

“This, allied with the wealth of experience she has to draw upon, made her the ideal candidate for this new important strategic role within the company.”

Ann said: “I am proud to have been chosen to play an integral part in Salutem’s drive for continued success as it evolves to meet future business needs.

“I also am looking forward to supporting the company at an influential level to provide outstanding standards of care and outcomes for its adult service users and help staff achieve their full potential.”

Ann will spend a significant amount of her time travelling throughout the country visiting Salutem sites under her control.
