We are thrilled to announce that Azalea House has achieved an Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), marking a significant milestone as the first location within Salutem Care and Education to receive this prestigious rating under the new CQC framework. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
What Makes Azalea House Special?
Azalea House specialises in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Our focus is on creating a safe, welcoming environment where every individual feels valued and supported. This commitment to quality care is evident in the feedback we received from those we support.
One of the individuals we support shared, “This is definitely the best support facility I have been in,” while another expressed, “I feel very safe here. This is the safest I have felt in any care facility. I feel safe because the staff respect me.”
Families Share Their Gratitude
The positive impact of our care extends beyond our IWS to their families. One family member expressed, “It has saved my [family member]. The support is brilliant.” Another highlighted the peace of mind Azalea House provides, saying,
“[Family member] is very safe. I know where they are, that staff are looking out for them, and we all work together to keep [family member] safe.”
Leadership and Dedication
Donna-Maria Masters, our Registered Manager at Azalea House, expressed her pride in the team’s achievement: “It’s an absolutely fabulous report, and I’m so super proud of the recognition and for working for Salutem! I’ve been with them since the beginning and I have been around a long time in health and social care (I’ve got the grey roots and wrinkles to show for it!) and can quite honestly say I love working for Salutem!”
Donna-Maria’s leadership, combined with the unwavering commitment of our staff, has been instrumental in achieving this outstanding recognition. The entire team at Azalea House works tirelessly to ensure that every resident receives the highest level of care and support.
Our SAF Framework: The Key to Success
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our Single Assessment Framework (SAF). The SAF simplifies the evaluation process and better reflects the diverse range of care and support delivery. We have developed this tool to aid our teams in exploring five key questions—Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well Led—and quality statements, which together ensure a comprehensive and consistent approach to care.
At Azalea House, the SAF framework has been crucial in guiding our practices and ensuring that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of those we care for.
