The Honeysuckle team have been recognised in Knight Franks Healthcare Heroes awards for going above and beyond in tackling the challenges of COVID-19 in a tremendously difficult environment. After two people we support were found to have high temperatures, the decision was made for all staff and the people we support to isolate at Honeysuckle for two weeks.
Amanda Wale, Home manager at Honeysuckle Farm said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised by Knight Frank at their Healthcare Heroes Awards. After two of our residents had temperatures of 38.5°c, we decided to lock-in for two weeks to avoid any further spread of infection. All of our staff members had no hesitation at all in joining me in the lock-in.”
John Godden, CEO, said: “I am so humbled by the work of the staff at Honeysuckle and how well they have handled the pandemic. The team were amazing and cut themselves off from the outside world entirely for the benefit of those they care for, knowing that they may have been exposing themselves to the virus. We are thrilled that they have been recognised by Knight Frank for their efforts.”
