Before joining Salutem, Yasmin followed a path familiar to many young people. After finishing her A-Levels, she wasn’t entirely sure what direction to take and began working in childcare while exploring her options. A turning point came when she had the opportunity to spend time with a marketing team. That work experience opened her eyes to the creativity, strategy and variety within the field and it was this experience that inspired her to pursue a marketing apprenticeship.
Today, Yasmin is a Level 3 Multi‑Channel Marketer apprentice at Salutem, and the decision has proved hugely rewarding. Being able to learn and work simultaneously has allowed her to build confidence, develop new skills and understand the reasoning behind the work she supports each day.
As Yasmin explains:
“Joining Salutem on a Level 3 Multi‑Channel Marketer apprenticeship has been a hugely valuable experience. I’m able to apply what I learn directly to my day‑to‑day work, which has helped me understand not just how we do things, but why. It’s boosted my confidence and made me feel more informed in my role.”
For her, choosing an apprenticeship over university has been the perfect fit. She’s able to work toward a recognised qualification while gaining hands‑on experience that feels relevant and meaningful. The role has allowed her to bring fresh perspectives to the team; from design and content creation to strategy, organisation and analysis.
The structure of the programme also encourages reflection, helping her refine and improve how she approaches campaigns and tasks. Without the apprenticeship, Yasmin’s role would look very different. The blend of learning, support and real‑world application has helped her grow both personally and professionally, equipping her to make a strong contribution to her team and to Salutem as a whole.
