As we continue celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, today we’re highlighting the journey of Lynda More, who is currently completing her CIPD Level 5 People Professional apprenticeship. Her story shows just how transformative apprenticeships can be; not only in developing new skills, but in building confidence, clarity, and self-belief.
When Lynda began her apprenticeship, she wanted to strengthen her HR knowledge and feel more grounded in her role. The programme has helped her do exactly that, giving her a structured learning experience that she can immediately apply to her day-to-day work.
Lynda shared her reflections on the impact the apprenticeship has had so far:
“I’m currently working towards my CIPD Level 5 People Professional apprenticeship, and it’s been a game-changer for me.
When I started, I wanted to build my confidence and deepen my HR knowledge, and this apprenticeship has done exactly that. It’s given me the tools, reassurance, and self-belief to feel grounded in my role.
The learning has made a real difference day-to-day. I’m now more equipped to support colleagues, handle queries, and understand the bigger picture. I can bring new ideas and better ways of working back to the team, and feel like I’m contributing at a deeper, more meaningful level.
Without this apprenticeship, I’d probably still be second-guessing myself. The structure, clarity, and guidance it’s provided have been invaluable for my growth.
I’m so grateful to Salutem for the support – encouraging my development, giving me space to learn, and making me feel genuinely invested in. As I often say, “every day is a learning day” — and this apprenticeship hasn’t just helped me do my job, it’s helped me believe in myself while doing it.”
