Individuals we support at Hennel Lane recently went on an unforgettable holiday filled with laughter, friendship, and relaxation. Each year, staff at Hennel Lane plan a holiday with the individuals they support as a chance to build confidence and strengthen bonds. This year, five individuals and seven staff, spent three nights in an incredible property in Shropshire.
The house was beautiful, showcasing eight bedrooms, a karaoke machine with huge speakers, a swimming pool, hot tub and extensive grounds with a football and basketball pitch, as well as table tennis. They were not short on activities to do! The group also explored the outdoor surrounding areas, taking scenic walks around Bateswood Nature Reserve.
Irish Moore, registered manager at Hennel Lane, said:
âThis takes a lot of planning and preparation, including detailed risk assessments, to make sure everyone is safe and well throughout the trip. But when you see the joy on peopleâs faces, it makes every bit of effort worthwhile. We created and shared some truly special memories together.â
John Godden, chief executive of Salutem Care and Education, added🎤:
âThese holidays are about so much more than a change of scenery. Theyâre about building confidence, developing friendships and making sure the individuals we support can experience the same fun and freedom as anyone else. I am proud of the team at Hennel Lane for going above and beyond to make this trip such a success.â
