Empowering Growth: Jessica’s Journey to Deputy Manager

Jessica Storey’s dedication and passion have seen her quickly progress to Deputy Manager at one of our children’s services. Since joining Salutem in September 2024 after a career in education, Jessica has embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.

Her rapid progression from Support Worker to Deputy Manager in just one year is a testament to her commitment and the support she’s received from her team and managers. Through meaningful supervisions, encouragement, and leadership training via Salutem’s Supervision Toolkit and Aspire Programme, Jessica has developed the confidence and skills to lead effectively and achieve her professional goals.

Reflecting on her journey, Jessica shared: “This job has truly changed my life. When I first joined Salutem, I was unsure of what I was good at or where I belonged. With the support of my manager, colleagues, and the training opportunities offered through Salutem, I’ve developed confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging. The most rewarding part is working alongside the incredible young people, they are the reason I come to work every day. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what’s ahead.”
