Education Spotlight: Rosie Talbot – Beaumont College South Lakes 💙

At Beaumont College South Lakes, we are proud to celebrate the incredible journeys of our colleagues who help shape the supportive, creative, and empowering environment our students thrive in. Today, we’re delighted to shine a spotlight on Rosie Talbot, our dedicated Deputy Lead Tutor, whose passion and progression truly embody the spirit of Beaumont.

Rosie joined Beaumont College in June 2022, originally working as agency staff. Her commitment, skill, and enthusiasm quickly shone through, leading her to secure a position as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Her journey didn’t stop there — Rosie progressed to FE Teacher and now proudly serves as Deputy Lead Tutor at our South Lakes campus. Her career path reflects both her dedication and the strong culture of development we champion across the college.

Rosie has always been driven by a desire to help individuals reach their full potential. She shares that specialist education offers a rare opportunity to make a meaningful, life-changing impact.

Supporting learners to grow in confidence, independence, and ability is what motivates me every day. Every milestone — big or small — is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why I love what I do.

Her passion is at the heart of the nurturing and personalised approach Beaumont is known for.

For Rosie, working at Beaumont means being part of a vibrant, positive, and creative community. No two days are ever the same, and each day brings new opportunities to support students in exciting and innovative ways.

She highlights the strong sense of teamwork, mutual respect, and shared celebration:

The community here is amazing. Staff and students lift each other up, celebrate achievements, and create an environment where everyone feels valued

Among her many memories, two moments stand out: the annual college pantomime and BeauFest, the campus’s first-ever SEND festival. These events brought the entire college together in a joyful celebration of creativity, confidence, and community. Rosie recalls how powerful it was to see students performing, creating, and expressing themselves with such pride — the energy and happiness across campus made it truly unforgettable.
